things done during august. Walnut Creek Module the third..

Walnut Creek III or Aspendale Wharf I

Maybe I am crazy, but the hole of Walnut Creek II has been stored in the garage and a third version is under progress. Second version still got to big and heavy.. Not like me to just give up a project this early, but the third version below I really feel for.

This one will be basically an oval with two fake switches. Main purpose; Test track and photo background, and lots of fun... : )

First a piece of plywood, then ...

9095 -- on the underside, longwise braces 9098 -- on top, crosswise braces 9103 -- all the foam added, here you also see the trackplan 9107 -- fascia is being installed 9110 -- fascia finished and edges are smoothed off 9112 -- started on the streams 9113 -- closeup on streams covered with old bed sheets cut in small pieces 9115 -- another angle 9116 -- again another angle.. 9119 -- front side 9117 -- Aspendale wharf, the unpainted side will be covered with 9217 -- paint is on and first layer of gravel added to the streams 9218 -- another overlook of the streams 9220 -- closeup on the stream 9234 -- birds view from the front side 9251 -- first plants starts to grew 9253 -- the brown sides are tee-leafs fastened with deluted white glue 9243 -- sand and a few stones here and there really makes difference 9264 -- comparison with a figure in the background 9265 -- one more, closer

The plants on the pictures are plastic ones which I found very cheap at my local gardening centre. They are only placed for the photos, later on they will be glued in groups close to bridges and there the water moves slowly.
